Vinyasa Flow

A dynamic class; expect to move, build heat, practice back bends, inversions and balances in this class which is open to all levels.  I teach Vinyasa flow in an accessible way allowing plenty of time for rest at the end in a blissful Savasana.

Yin Yoga

A deliciously deep and sometimes challenging practice.

Yin yoga is accessible to anyone who can sit on the floor & is a valuable practice for both beginners and experienced yoga practitioners.

Yin postures are long held, between 3 – 5 mins and mostly seated; combining forward bends, back bends, lateral stretches & twists.  The slow stretching targets the connective tissue (fascia), tendons, ligaments and joints of the body.  Yin postures also activate the meridian lines (energy pathways) in the body, which can release ‘stuck’ energy or ‘Chi’, shift negative emotional states and promote physical healing.

Yin yoga can help to cultivate a more open body, to soften and release in this meditative & contemplative practice. Sometimes we need to be still and learn to cultivate patience.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga is a deeply nourishing practice, which is relaxing and releasing for the body, mind and nervous system.

The body is supported by props – bolsters, blocks and bricks and involves supported forward bends, back bends, twists and supported inversions.  Blankets, eye pillows and sometimes sand bag weights are applied to the body to allow the practitioner to sink more deeply into a relaxation state.

Mindful Flow

Mindful Flow draws its influence from Ashtanga, Hatha and Qigong.
